I was born in Cuba, and after studying Oil well Engineering in Russia for 5 years, I eventually realized that traveling the world was my passion. After almost 7 years of working as a tour guide in Cuba I met my love for Chile through a Chilean woman and came to Santiago to live, where for over 14 years I have worked in tourism companies gaining vast experience in the area of outbound and inbound tourism. I have worked as a sales executive, travel consultant, client assistant, cruise ship excursion supervisor, group, Latin American market manager and general manager of a former British tourism company in Chile. Today, with the same enthusiasm as always, I am starting this beautiful challenge with AONKEN EXPERIENCE! In addition to Spanish, I speak English, French and Russian.
I have always been passionate about the world of travel. I graduated from the Tourism career and started my professional internship in the Domestic Area, from where I was promoted to the Inbound Tourism Department of Cocha. Here I worked as a Sales Executive, in charge of clients from England, Italy, Switzerland, Holland, Germany and France. In 2002, I was appointed as Market Manager for Europe and Latin America. In this position, I trained clients and developed their programs and new products. I attended trade fairs such as WTM, Travel Mart Latin America, Inaugural Workshop of the Americas, Roadshows in Spain, England, and France, among others. I was born in the remote and beautiful Chilean Patagonia. Always in love with my land and my entire country. After working in the Sierra Nevada ski resort for a while, I decided to change my career and study tourism so I could show others that Chile has a lot to offer to its visitors. I have worked for more than 10 years in the area of inbound tourism gaining vast experience in this activity: I have been a bilingual guide, tourism promoter and informant, emergency and customer service, sales executive, and travel consultant in important Chilean and foreign tourism companies. I love history, I am an exceptionally good reader and I am always up-to-date with what is happening in Chile and the world. Bilingual professional, in the Inbound Tourism business since 1980. I am a reliable person, with innate team leader skills, disciplined, rigorous, good manners, balanced and honest. I have dedicated myself to forming teams of professional guides and drivers, and then to working in commercial, sales and reservations and customer service areas in large companies in Chile. I know my country quite a bit as I have travelled several times from north to south, including Rapa Nui. I attended fairs and "door to door" visits in countries like USA, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, South Africa. I worked as a Tour Leader with groups to Europe, South America, and southern Chile.
